Q3 2024 Hungary Maps and Navigation Apps Performance on Unified Platform

During the third quarter of 2024, Hungary's top maps and navigation applications on a unified platform showcased varied performance trends. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads and active user metrics for these popular apps.

The Waze Navigation & Live Traffic app displayed a fluctuating download pattern, starting with around 9.7K downloads in early July and peaking at approximately 13.9K in mid-August. However, by the end of September, downloads tapered to about 6.9K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 300K throughout the quarter, with minor fluctuations.

BudapestGO experienced a steady increase in downloads, reaching a high of around 8.9K in mid-August before settling at roughly 6.5K by the end of September. Active users for this app consistently stayed above 115K, peaking at around 123K in mid-August.

For Bolt: Request a Ride, downloads showed a slight increase mid-quarter, peaking at about 5.9K in mid-August, before declining to approximately 4.5K by the end of September. The active user base exhibited modest growth, reaching around 44.4K in early September.

The Menetrendek.hu app's downloads were relatively stable, with a noticeable increase to approximately 3.2K in late August. Active users also saw an uptick during this period, peaking at about 58.4K before stabilizing around 51.3K by the end of September.

Lastly, Uber - Request a ride faced a declining trend in downloads, starting at 9.6K in early July and dropping to 3K by the end of the quarter. In contrast, the app's active user base grew steadily, reaching a peak of about 133K in mid-September.
